About 3km north of Chiltern on the Howlong Rd, this is one of the most diverse pieces of forest as far as birding goes in Victoria. A walk down to the dams which don’t always hold water and up the hill, around the block and back down the hill past more dams to the small carpark will always reveal a heap of birds, including some sought after ones, though the Regent Honeyeater doesn’t seem to frequent this site. There are no facilities, but as yet there is no restriction on camping.
Camp rating 6, suitable only for 4wd and small vehicles only. It is difficult to get off the road here with a ditch beside the road. There is not much room on the a small flat area near the entrance gate.
