On Mundowy Ln some 24km west of Wagga on either the Sturt Hwy or the Old Nerrandera Rd, the better woodland is on the north side of the river, but there is a small track on the south side that enables one to get right up to the river. It is however popular with drunken vandals who leave a lot of rubbish behind. The road is also busy. If you don’t mind that then in the immediate vicinity is good riverine habitat, away from the river it reverts back to birdless farmland.
