In the northern suburbs of Perth the site is on Lakeside Dr on the NW corner of the lake. In 2019 this is where the Oriental Honey-buzzards were first appearing in the morning. It’s mostly parkland, with some patches of remnant habitat in the park and around the lake, there’s poor access to the lake  along a small loop track.
