From the Maroondah Hwy at Taggerty the Thornton Rd heads east, about 6km along Bulls lane heads south, the site is at the edge of the forest about 2.5km down, there is a small track along the edge of the forest with no vehicular access. To the north is cleared farmland with a thin strip of trees along the road.
