Survey Point Burketown junction Barkly Hwy Qld
Latitude -20.0663900 (20° 3′ 59″ S)
Longitude 138.7594400 (138° 45′ 34″ E)

138km west along the Barkly Hwy from Mt Isa at the T junction, there is a large farm dam on the south side of the highway that is fenced off so permission should be sought to venture there, in the hills behind the dam are also where the Carpentarian Grasswrens can be found. There is patchy good vegetation on the north side.

Camp rating 4 a large parking area at the junction is the best site, but it’s close to both roads. There are no facilities.
