About 46km SW of the junction with the Maryvale Rd south of Alice Springs, 4wd is necessary to get here. The vegetation is quite sparse but varied, the view from the lookout on the pillar is a spectacular sweeping view of the vastness of the desert landscape, there are some historical etchings in the pillar, and a lot of non historical ones too. Well worth the effort to get here.
Camp rating 5 there are national park fees to camp here, virtually no cover, there are toilets
