Now known by its Aboriginal name of Kaltukatjara, the site is just to the west of the settlement down a track off Tjukururu Rd that is part of the Great Central Rd. You need a permit to travel the road.
Camp rating 4 The campground is set amid Desert Oaks but is rather ratty and not an attractive place to stay, but is the only place you’re allowed to camp between the border and Yulara. There are fees to camp that will give you access to the toilets.
