North of the locality of Talgomine on the Cornish Rd lake Brown South Rd heads NE towards the lake, as the road swings around to the north a track leads along the shore of the salt pan to the campsite next to the rock. There is good woodland around the rock base. The lake is usually dry.
Camp rating 8 on the south side of the rock is the main campground that is free and has a toilet.
