About 10km south of Nowingi on the Calder hwy Old Calder Hwy heads SE, about 2km down it Nowingi Tk heads NE, the site is about 500m along. There is a well known population of Mallee Emu-wrens at this site, and can be quite easily seen with a bit of patience and being able to hear their high pitched call. Please do not use call recordings on these birds. The site is amid the low sand dunes with good spinifex mallee country around.

No camping is advised here.
