On Lassiter Hwy about 29km east of Yulara, there is a lot of damage here to the ground cover on the flat due to cars driving all over the place. There are a few trees and shrubs on the flat and the dunes surrounding the rest area are well vegetated.
Camp rating 6 This is a popular free campsite with no facilities, a track over the low dunes gets you away from the main road.
