About 1km S of the Savage River settlement a small track leads off down the hill to the east, to the west is a sweeping view over a valley, just south from the track is a small quarry again on the east. This is mostly heathland, but further down the track there are some trees.
Camp rating 7 down the small track there are some small spaces to get off the track, it is not suitable for trailers of any sort. There is no established campsite here. The sites occasionally have bee hives on them.
