On the Tatong-Tolmie Rd 10km NW of Tolmie a track leads south into the campground where the site is based. There are a few walking trails to explore the Toombullup historic area where Ned Kelly ambushed and killed 3 policemen in 1878. This is the Wombat State Forest and has been spared being logged in recent years so looks great.
