The locality can also be spelt Chirrip and the lake’s name if Cherrip, so not sure what the true spelling is. About 19km north of Donald on the Swan Hill Rd Corack Racecourse Rd heads east, this turns into Gretrix Rd and about 10km along the road sweeps around the southern edge of the lake. The site is based at a small dam on the edge of the lake in good woodland amid the cleared farmland. The lake/swamp is usually dry but the small dam is likely to have water.

camp rating 7, a small turnaround by the dam gets you just off the quiet road. There are no facilities here
