On the Capricorn Hwy about 58km west of Emerald, Tadcaster Rd heads NW, the site is about 2.5km along it at the first creek crossing. The site takes in a gully that has some trees in the creekline, a more substantial creek Gap Creek runs to the east with better woodland along it, away from the creeklines there are few trees.

Camp rating 3 there is no real campsite here with no easy access off the road
